Welcome to the Independence Bearded Collie Club of Greater Philadelphia's website.
The Independence Bearded Collie Club of Greater Philadelphia (IBCC) was formed in 1992 with members from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
The objectives of the IBCC are:
The IBCC of Greater Philadelphia welcomes Bearded Collie owners who either own a new puppy, have been a Beardie owner for years or those planning to add one to their family. There are 4 options for membership in the club. To qualify for membership, an applicant needs to attend two meetings while having a sponsor from an IBCC member. The annual membership dues are nominal. For an interest in membership with our club, please send an e-mail to: Jim Williams (For more information, see the IBCC info page.)
The IBCC has meetings throughout the year at various different locations. Activities are scheduled to include our fun loving Beardie friends. The club holds an annual educational/health seminar, Holiday dinner, Beardie Bounce and picnic and plan many other Beardie activities. An informative newsletter is published 4 times a year.
What can we do with our Beardies? There are many options…agility, herding, conformation, flyball, obedience, rally, therapy, and frisbee just to name a few. Some have used their dogs in children's reading programs with great success!
For more information for the IBCC meeting dates, times, locations and scheduled activities, go to the IBCC info page.
